- Ben Pocock Review added: 2017.12.23★ ★ ★ ★ ☆Great new addition to the local area now that the pub has been bought by Bunning and Price and been totally renovated and extended. Eight of us (plus three kids) came here for Sunday lunch and had a lovely time. Yes, OK, there are still a couple of teething problems - our drinks took 20 minutes to arrive - but having emailed Chris the manager directly I've been assured that they're on the road to rectifying them.
The food was very good, the service efficient (drinks delay aside) and staff friendly. Dogs are welcomed and kids aren't frowned at (by the staff at least!). The only thing that could have been beetter would have been if we'd been put on a slightly larger table as eight adults plus three kids don't really fit on a table for eight. It's a small thing and won't change the fact we'll definitely go back.
